Charging your plug-in hybrid car is a piece of cake: simply plug it into the electrical grid. Our vehicles are compatible with AC charging points or outlets. The charging power limits are set depending on your car’s features. In addition, as you drive your battery automatically retrieves up to 10% charge through regenerative braking.
what are the charging options for a plug-in hybrid vehicle?
You can charge using a domestic socket, a reinforced outlet or a charging point. Unlike the domestic socket, the last two require a specific installation, but have the advantage of fast charging.
Public charging is possible wherever charging points are fitted: shopping centres, car dealerships, carsharing networks, public car parks, and more.
WHAT CABLES DO I NEED?
public or home charging cable
You can only charge your vehicle with this charging cable on a dedicated 3.7 kW and 22 kW charging point. For example with a Wallbox, via the Mobilize power solutions offer or at public charging stations*.
This cable is for occasional use to charge your vehicle on conventional domestic sockets or on 16 A reinforced sockets in your home.
* there is a 3.7 kW power limit on the vehicle’s onboard charger. It is compatible with public charging stations (excluding DC fast charging) but charging will be limited to the max. power of the vehicle. A full or 80% charge will always take between 3 and 5 hours
WHAT EQUIPMENT DO I NEED?
charging on an AC (alternative current) point between 3.7 kW and 22 kW
Ideal for daily use for complete peace of mind. Your vehicle is compatible with AC points up to 22 kW (not compatible with DC - direct current - fast charge), but charging will be limited to the maximum power accepted by your model, i.e. 3.7 kW.
charging with a reinforced or standard socket
If you do not have dedicated equipment available, the reinforced socket is designed to deliver power up to 3.7 kW (16 A). Charging will also take between 3 and 5 hours. The last option is a standard socket, which should only be used occasionally as it is the slowest option with power of 2.3 kW (10 A).

enjoy 100% electric driving time with your E-Tech plug-in hybrid vehicle
charging that changes everything
Your fuel consumption is significantly reduced if you fully charge your battery every day.
battery life
The plug-in hybrid s' battery is designed to be fully recharged, every day. That way, you can enjoy all the benefits of electric driving on a daily basis. Charging speed is “slow” to avoid damaging the batteries. Our batteries are guaranteed for 8 years or 160,000 k
less fuel
We estimate you can save up to 75% of fuel with a plug-in hybrid vehicle, by opting to use the electric motors and therefore electric charging. Enjoy significantly lower fuel consumption during your longest journeys such as on holidays with the hybrid mode, which switches between combustion and electric driving as soon as the battery is charged enough.
Optimise your charging time at home by using a reinforced charging socket or charging point. Think about remotely pre-heating your cabin while you are still charging to maximise your driving range.

your questions about charging plug-in hybrid vehicles
CAN HYBRID CARS TRAVEL LONG DISTANCES?
Yes, absolutely! A hybrid vehicle continues driving even when its battery is depleted (it then uses petrol power only). Above all, it charges while you drive using kinetic energy and combustion energy generated by the petrol engine.
The driving range of a hybrid vehicle is therefore greater than that of a petrol car, since you can alternate between several energy sources. In town, when the electric motor(s) take(s) over, the internal combustion engine is not used much or at all, which logically saves fuel.
And it goes even further! In the case of the plug-in hybrid, where the battery charges as you drive, as well as by plugging into a charging point, the 100% electric driving range is even greater. Guaranteed up to 50 km on WLTP cycle during mixed use (combustion + electric) and between 25 and 65 km during actual use, depending on the charge and type of road.
DO HYBRID CARS NEED TO BE CHARGED?
A full hybrid car charges on the move - the driver has nothing else to do! However, if you purchase a plug-in hybrid, it is strongly recommended to charge the battery every day by plugging it into the electric network (public charging points, home charging point, fast charging stations, etc.). This way, you get the maximum benefits out of your plug-in hybrid (greater driving range, faster speed in electric drive, fuel-related savings, etc.). If you do not want to charge your vehicle manually, then go for a full hybrid.
If you have difficulty in accessing a charging socket, Mobilize power solutions can assist you Remember, no matter what happens, the vehicle operates perfectly using just the petrol tank. There is no risk of breaking down if the battery is flat, since you still have petrol.
